State Representative Brandun Schweizer announced that four libraries in Illinois' 104th District have been awarded grants totaling over $86,000. The funding comes from the Per Capita and Equalization Aid Grants provided by the Illinois Secretary of State's office.

"I am pleased to see four libraries in the district be awarded the Per Capita and Equalization Aid Grants," said Rep. Schweizer. "These grants will be helpful for our libraries to continue to provide the important services they do and to help improve the delivery of services. Thank you to the Secretary of State’s office for providing these grants."

The Public Library Per Capita Grant assists public libraries in meeting or progressing toward Illinois library standards. Meanwhile, the Equalization Aid Grant supports libraries with a low tax base, ensuring a minimum level of funding for their services.

The recipients in the 104th District are:

- Danville Public Library: $43,075.90

- Oakwood Public Library District: $8,128.70

- Rantoul Public Library: $18,247.86

- Westville Public Library District: $16,961.03
