Illinois head football coach Bret Bielema will lead the Chicago Cubs' seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field on June 17. This marks his fifth consecutive year in this role. The event coincides with Illini Night as the Cubs face off against the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:05 p.m. CT.
Additionally, Illinois basketball coaches Shauna Green and Brad Underwood will throw out the ceremonial first pitches during Illini Night.
Prior to the game, Bielema, Green, and Underwood will attend a pregame party at Budweiser Brickhouse Tavern starting at 5 p.m. CT. Admission to this event is free and does not require a game ticket. Notable attendees include Illinois football All-Big Ten players QB Luke Altmyer, OL Josh Gesky, OLB Gabe Jacas, OL Josh Kreutz, and other special guests from Illinois.
