On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Danville High School standout Jake Stipp’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 14-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Lynn Fighting Knights.

The game took place at UT Baseball Field. This was their third matchup against the Fighting Knights this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. at UT Baseball Field against Ashland Eagles.
