Champaign issues building permits worth over $250K in construction value

The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has issued several building permits for projects with an estimated construction value of $250,000 or more. The list includes various types of constructions such as alterations, additions, and new builds across different uses like medical offices, multi-family residences, and single-family homes.

Among the notable permits is a project at 102 E Healey St with a value of $2,175,000 issued on April 14, 2025. This project involves new construction for a multi-family use. Another significant permit was granted to 1906 Moreland Blvd with an addition valued at $2,595,091 for an auto facility on May 6, 2025.

Other projects include an alteration for a medical office at 101 W University Ave valued at $932,515 and issued on April 11, 2025. Additionally, a new single-family home construction at 1108 Glen Abbey Dr is valued at $450,000 and was approved on April 25, 2025.

Alterations for roof recovery and replacements have also been noted in the list with permits such as those issued for addresses like 2117 N Prospect Ave and 1617 W Interstate Dr. The overall year-end construction value stands at $69,018,274.
