Rep. Mary Miller, who represents Illinois’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of personal and political messages on her social media account over the weekend.
On July 26, Miller marked a personal milestone, posting, "45 years ago, I married the love of my life. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Happy Anniversary, Chris! https://t.co/ncGxiKovmu".
The following day, she posted a religious message quoting scripture: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” - Matthew 6:9-10 (July 27).
Later that same day, Miller commented on energy policy and its impact on consumers in Illinois: "Electric bills soared under Biden’s war on American energy, and Pritzker’s reckless policies made it even worse for Illinois families. President Trump is fighting to restore affordable, reliable power to every home." (July 27).
Miller has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after succeeding John Shimkus. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently resides in Oakland. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University.
