The Illinois football team has announced the game times for the first three matches of their 2025 schedule. According to the Big Ten Conference and its television partners, the Fighting Illini will begin their season on Friday, August 29, with a game against Western Illinois at Memorial Stadium starting at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Following the opener, Illinois will travel to Duke for an away game scheduled on Saturday, September 6, at 11 a.m. CT. This match will be broadcast on ABC or ESPN. The Illini will return home for a Week 3 game against Western Michigan on Saturday, September 13, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. CT on FS1.

The remaining game times are yet to be determined and will follow an in-season selection process.

Public season tickets for games at Memorial Stadium have sold out for the first time in over twenty years. However, fans can purchase a four-game mini plan priced at $175, which includes games against Western Illinois, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Northwestern.

In 2025, Illinois is set to host seven games at Memorial Stadium and brings back 18 starters from last year's team that concluded the season ranked #16 in the final AP Top 25 after participating in the Citrus Bowl.

The full schedule lists various opponents and locations throughout the season, culminating in a potential appearance at the Big Ten Championship in Indianapolis on December 6.
