The Big Ten has released the 2025 conference schedule for Illinois Volleyball, with the Fighting Illini set to compete in 20 matches against league opponents starting on September 26. The opening match will be held at Huff Hall, where Illinois will face Oregon. This marks a repeat of last year's league opener between the two teams.

Following the home opener, Illinois will travel to Purdue on September 28 and Wisconsin on October 2 before returning home to play Michigan State on October 5. A series of away games follows, with matches against Maryland (October 10), Rutgers (October 11), Ohio State (October 17), and Northwestern (October 19) over two weeks.

The team will then host Purdue again on October 24 and Michigan on October 25. After visiting Minnesota on October 29, they will welcome Iowa to Champaign on November 2. The Illini are scheduled for an away game at Nebraska on November 6 before hosting Penn State, the defending national champion, on November 9.

Washington is set to visit Champaign for its first league match there on November 14, followed by a rematch with Wisconsin. The final road trip takes Illinois to California for matches against UCLA (November 20) and USC (November 22). Last season's victory over USC was a highlight for Illinois.

Illinois concludes its regular season with home games against Indiana on November 26 and in-state rival Northwestern on November 28.

This season is the ninth under head coach Chris Tamas, who has achieved a record of 149-94 during his tenure.
