Rep. Mary Miller, a U.S. Congress member representing Illinois’ 15th district since 2021, has been vocal on various national issues through her social media presence. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1959 and residing in Oakland, Miller has shared her perspectives on recent policy decisions and state actions.

On May 5, 2025, Rep. Mary Miller expressed support for former President Donald Trump's decision to halt taxpayer funding for gain-of-function experiments. She stated that "President Trump is right to cut off taxpayer funding for dangerous gain-of-function experiments recklessly championed by corrupt Anthony Fauci." Miller emphasized the potential threat these experiments pose to public safety and commended the President's decisive action.

Later that day, Miller criticized the "Green New Deal," labeling it as detrimental to American interests. She argued that "The 'Green New Deal' is a bad deal for America." According to her tweet, the initiative is unreliable and unaffordable, contributing to families leaving rural communities. She called for a change in energy policy by repealing what she referred to as the Inflation Reduction Act’s green energy slush fund.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Miller addressed policies related to transgender identification in sports within Illinois schools. She condemned these policies by stating "Illinois’ radical trans policies are not just wrong — they’re disgusting and dangerous for kids." The congresswoman criticized organizations like IESA_IL and IHSA_IL for asking students about their "sex assigned at birth" and "gender identity," describing such practices as child abuse.

Mary Miller holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University and succeeded John Shimkus in representing Illinois' 15th District in Congress.
