Illinois defensive back Miles Scott is set to throw the first pitch at the Chicago White Sox Illini Night on May 20. The event will take place during the game against the Seattle Mariners at Rate Field, starting at 6:40 p.m. CT.
Scott, who hails from the Southside of Chicago and is a lifelong White Sox fan, will have the opportunity to step onto the field for his hometown team. Alongside him, fellow Chicago native and defensive star Kenenna Odeluga will participate in an on-field interview conducted by Gene Honda, public address announcer for both the White Sox and Illinois.
Before the game begins, both Scott and Odeluga will be available to sign autographs on Rate Field's left field concourse in Section 158.
Ticket packages for this special night include a White Sox/Illini sweatshirt and early access to batting practice. An additional patio package offers not only early batting practice access and a game ticket but also includes two hours of all-you-can-eat and drink from 5:10-7:10 p.m. CT.
