The Big Ten Conference has announced the dates for the 2025 Volleyball Media Days, scheduled to occur at the Big Ten Network studios in Chicago on July 28 and 29. The announcement was made public today in Champaign, Illinois.
On Monday, July 28, nine volleyball programs from the Big Ten Conference, namely Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, and Rutgers, will participate in interview sessions and other content opportunities. These sessions are intended to provide insights into the upcoming 2025 volleyball season. The following day, Tuesday, July 29, will see participation from the remaining nine programs, including Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Reflecting on past events, last season’s event included Fighting Illini head coach Chris Tamas, AVCA All-American Raina Terry, and senior libero Caroline Barnes. In 2022, the Big Ten Conference became the first collegiate conference to host an in-person preseason volleyball media event.
Further details about the inaugural event from past years are available for those interested.
