Week 17 of the 2025 professional golf season sees six former Illini competing across various tours, including the PGA TOUR, LIV Golf League, Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA Tour Americas.

On the PGA TOUR, the Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana will feature Thomas Detry and Nick Hardy. Detry, ranked 18th in the FedEx Cup and 31st in the Official World Golf Rankings, will team up with Robert MacIntyre. The duo tied for eighth at last year’s event and ranks third in the power rankings for this year. Hardy returns for his fourth appearance, teaming up with Davis Riley. The pair captured the title in 2023 and finished T28 in the following title defense. Hardy finished T41 at the Corales Puntacana Championship last week, while Detry tied for 32nd alongside Brian Campbell at the RBC Heritage.

In the LIV Golf League, Thomas Pieters and the 4 Aces GC are set to compete in Mexico City in the sixth event of the season. Previously, the team finished third at LIV Golf Miami, with Pieters tying for 39th. Overall, the 4 Aces are fifth in the team standings, and Pieters is 35th in player rankings, having three top-25 finishes this season.

The Korn Ferry Tour continues with the Veritex Bank Championship at Texas Rangers Golf Club. Illini alumni Luke Guthrie and Adrien Dumont de Chassart are competing. Dumont de Chassart has made the cut in all his starts this season and recently finished T61 at the LECOM Suncoast Classic. Meanwhile, Guthrie aims to regain early-season form after initially making the cut in his first five tournaments.

Lastly, Piercen Hunt has Monday-qualified for the PGA Tour Americas' KIA Open in Quito, Ecuador, after participating in the Brazil Open earlier this month, where he finished T53. This is Hunt’s first time playing in the KIA Open.
