The City of Champaign has announced upcoming temporary road closures to facilitate special events, including Ebertfest 2025 and the Illinois Race Weekend.
For Ebertfest 2025, Park Avenue will be closed between Randolph Street and the entrance to Hickory Point Bank. The closure will begin on Wednesday, April 23, and last through Saturday, April 26. While traffic will not be allowed on Park Avenue, businesses in the area will remain accessible via State Street.
The Illinois Race Weekend will also involve several temporary street closures. These closures will occur in stages starting Thursday, April 24, and will continue until Saturday, April 26.
Race organizers have provided detailed information, including maps and schedules, at IllinoisMarathon.com. This online resource includes race routes, travel tips for motorists, parking restrictions, and times when the course will be impacted.
