On April 16-17, 2025, Community Relations Manager Tracy Parsons from the Equity and Engagement Department participated in the strategic plan development sessions of Urbana School District 116. The event was held at the I Hotel Conference Center. Parsons joined other community and educational leaders to help shape the district’s mission, core values, and strategic priorities for the forthcoming five years. This effort aims to ensure that the needs of students, families, and staff are well addressed.
"This strategic planning process represents a crucial opportunity for Urbana 116 to define its vision and is a meaningful step toward building a more responsive educational environment," stated a representative of the Urbana School District 116.
These sessions are a pivotal chance for the district to lay out a clear vision for the future.
