Rep. Mary Miller, serving Illinois’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021, expressed her views on several issues on Twitter on April 17, 2025.

In a post made at 14:21 UTC, Miller criticized the mainstream media's coverage decisions, noting, "The Mainstream Media spent 65 minutes covering a violent, illegal MS-13 gang member and didn’t air a single second of coverage on the trial of Rachel Morin’s illegal immigrant murderer." Miller expressed concern that, from her perspective, the media does not prioritize innocent lives affected by illegal immigrants.

Later that day, at 18:06 UTC, Miller offered support and condolences regarding a situation at Florida State University, writing, "Join me in praying for the students, faculty, and law enforcement at Florida State University during this tragic time."

At 19:32 UTC, Miller commended Chairman Mark Green’s decision in relation to taxpayer funds, stating, "Good on Chairman @RepMarkGreen for revoking Rep. Ramirez’s request to use Illinois taxpayer dollars to try and bring an MS-13 gang member back from El Salvador." She criticized the circumstances, deeming them "ridiculous" and implied that those involved should feel remorse.

Mary Miller, born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1959, has a BA from Eastern Illinois University and currently resides in Oakland.
