Later the same day, Miller voiced her criticism of the education system through a separate tweet: "What have they done besides failing our kids at every basic life skill to deserve $114K a year?!"
On April 12, 2025, Miller focused her attention on the topic of federal funding for Planned Parenthood. She expressed her opinion in another tweet, stating: "Planned Parenthood receives nearly $700 million in government funding, which they use to kill unborn babies and ruin lives. Mary Miller, 63, a lifelong resident of Illinois, has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after succeeding John Shimkus. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1959, and currently resides in Oakland. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University.
