Rep. Mary Miller, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 15th district, shared several opinions and critiques on policy matters through a series of tweets. As a member of Congress since 2021, Miller has been vocal about her positions on election integrity and state governance issues.
On April 10, 2025, Rep. Miller criticized Democrats, emphasizing those from her home state of Illinois, for rejecting measures including voter ID and proof of citizenship requirements. She expressed disapproval, noting, "Democrats—especially those from Illinois—have once again rejected common-sense election integrity measures like voter ID and proof of citizenship. These are basic safeguards supported by the majority of Americans. What a SHAME!"
In another statement from the same day, Miller, without specifying details, asserted a sense of accomplishment, "We are getting it done for America!"
Later, she targeted Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, accusing him of being disconnected from the issues affecting Illinois residents. Her tweet criticized Pritzker for focusing instead on policies affecting undocumented immigrants, stating, "Billionaire Governor Pritzker is once again out of touch with reality and ignoring the real issues hurting Illinois families." She accused him of neglecting issues such as crime, inflation, and educational failures.
Mary Miller, aged 63, who was born in Oak Park, Illinois, and currently resides in Oakland, represents diverse rural communities and small towns in the southern part of Illinois. She is an Eastern Illinois University graduate, holding a BA degree. Miller succeeded John Shimkus in her Congressional role.
