Registration for the Countywide Residential Electronics Collection (CREC) event opens on April 1, 2025, ahead of the event scheduled for May 17, 2025. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Parkland College.

Residents of participating Champaign County communities must register in advance online at https://ecycle.simplybook.me/. The registration process allows residents to book a 15-minute time slot. Following reservation, confirmation will be sent via email or text. Residents will also receive a postcard serving as a ticket 10 to 14 days before the event.

This year, participating communities include Bondville, Broadlands, Champaign, Fisher, Gifford, Homer, Ivesdale, Longview, Ludlow, Mahomet, Ogden, Pesotum, Rantoul, Royal, Sadorus, Savoy, Sidney, St. Joseph, Thomasboro, Tolono, Urbana, and unincorporated Champaign County.

Details on accepted and non-accepted items are available on the registration website. Each household is limited to four TVs, with a total item limit of seven.

Participants will need to use the Duncan Road entrance at Parkland College. The event, co-sponsored by the City of Champaign, City of Urbana, Champaign County, Champaign County Court & Probation Services, and the Village of Savoy, will take place rain or shine. Severe weather could extend wait times, though they are expected to be minimal.

Registration will remain open until available time slots are filled. Assistance is available through the City’s Environmental Sustainability Specialist, Nichole Millage, via phone at 1-217-403-4780 or email at [email protected].
