All-way stop to be installed at State and Columbia Streets

The Public Works Department is set to implement an all-way stop at the intersection of State Street and Columbia Street. The decision follows a record of five crashes at this location over the past five years, with three incidents reported in 2023 alone.

According to plans, the installation of stop signs will occur on Monday, March 31, 2025, contingent on favorable weather conditions. To inform the public about this upcoming change, message boards will be positioned at the intersection starting Friday, March 28, 2025. These boards are expected to remain for one week after the installation of the signs.
