The Neighborhood Services Department has initiated a series of meetings aimed at sharing information and building capacity among neighborhood leaders and volunteers. The first meeting of the Neighborhood Relations Division (NRD) Resource Exchange took place on March 12, 2025, focusing on goose management. Representatives from various neighborhood groups and homeowners associations across the city attended.

Craig Bloomquist from USDA APHIS Wildlife Services delivered a presentation on managing geese populations. Additionally, representatives from the Friends of Geese shared local resources to aid in these efforts.

This NRD Resource Exchange marks the beginning of a series of one-hour meetings designed to connect subject matter experts with neighborhood volunteers for the exchange of valuable information and resources. The next meeting is set for March 17, 2025, where Zoning Administrator Kat Trotter from Planning and Development will discuss neighborhood zoning issues.
