The Illinois Fighting Illini women's gymnastics team is set to compete in the Big Four meet at College Park, Maryland. The competition will feature teams from Maryland, No. 15 Michigan, and No. 13 Minnesota.

Maryland's gymnastics team enters the meet with a 3-3 conference record following a recent victory over Iowa. "The Terrapins dominated three of the four events," noted a report on their performance, which included standout contributions from Natalie Martin and Rhea LeBlanc.

Michigan holds a 4-2 conference record and is coming off a narrow loss to UCLA. Despite this, they achieved several season highs during the meet. Jenna Mulligan's performance on vault was particularly noteworthy as she achieved a career-high score of 9.950.

Minnesota, ranked No. 13 nationally, boasts a strong 5-1 conference record after defeating Nebraska. Their recent performance saw Mya Hooten excel on bars and floor, achieving significant scores that contributed to their victory.

Illinois arrives at the Big Four meet with momentum from their Senior Night win against Washington and Illinois State. Key performances included those by Olivia Coppola and Chloe Cho on vault and Amelia Knight on bars.

Chloe Cho has been highlighted as an exceptional performer for Illinois this season, winning multiple titles early in her collegiate career. She is now recognized as a four-time winner of the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award.

In addition to team efforts, Head Coach Nadalie Walsh received recognition for her contributions to women's sports leadership with the inaugural Game Changer Award by Gameday Spirit.

Both Chloe Cho and Arielle Ward were named among the Big Ten's Gymnasts to Watch this preseason. Their individual achievements add depth to Illinois' competitive presence in upcoming meets.

Amelia Knight returns for another year with high expectations after an impressive academic and athletic career at Illinois thus far.

The Fighting Illini aim to continue building upon these successes as they face challenging opponents in Maryland this weekend.
