Brian Campbell, a former University of Illinois golfer, is preparing for the upcoming Cognizant Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This follows his recent victory at the Mexico Open on the PGA Tour. Campbell's win marks his first career PGA TOUR victory and places him alongside fellow Illini alum Thomas Detry, who also secured his first PGA Tour title just two weeks prior.

"Campbell joined fellow Illini alum and former teammate Thomas Detry as first-time winners on the PGA Tour last weekend when he capped off an impressive performance to hold on for the victory on the second playoff hole at the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld."

Campbell is not alone in representing Illinois this week; Nick Hardy, another former teammate and PGA TOUR winner, will join him at the Cognizant Classic.

"We are one of two schools with two @PGATOUR champions in 2025."

Campbell's recent success has propelled him to 12th place in the FedEx Cup standings and a career-high 97th position in the Official World Golf Rankings. Meanwhile, Detry holds fourth place in the FedEx Cup rankings and 23rd in OWGR.

The Korn Ferry Tour's Argentina Open will also see participation from Illinois alumni. Adrien Dumont de Chassart will make his debut Korn Ferry Tour appearance this year after competing three times on the DP World Tour this season. He will be joined by Luke Guthrie, who has made three cuts out of four starts on the Korn Ferry Tour this season.
