Briana Bower, a redshirt junior pitcher from Huntley, Illinois, shared her recent experiences and upcoming plans with the Illini community. Bower, who is majoring in recreation, sport and tourism, expressed her enthusiasm for being part of the team for the second year. She aspires to become a sports event planner for a professional sports team.
Reflecting on their recent tournament in North Carolina, Bower reported that the team secured victories against Central Michigan twice with scores of 12-8 and 4-1. They also won against Northern Colorado with a score of 12-4. However, they faced a setback against NC State, losing 0-4.
Looking ahead, Bower mentioned the team's upcoming participation in the Wooo Pig Classic in Arkansas this weekend. She also invited fans to attend their home opener at Eichelberger Field against Saint Louis in two weeks.
"I-L-L!!!" she concluded her message with enthusiasm.
