Chloe Cho, a gymnast from the University of Illinois, has been recognized as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. The announcement was made by the conference on Tuesday. Cho previously received this accolade on January 21, 2025.

During an away meet against Penn State, ranked 24th at the time, Cho demonstrated her capabilities with a remarkable performance. On the uneven bars, she achieved a score of 9.850, setting a new personal best and finishing in fourth place. Her performance on the beam was even more impressive, earning her a career-high score of 9.925 and first place in that event. Additionally, Cho secured the all-around title with a score of 39.400, tying her previous best and surpassing the runner-up by 0.600 points. This achievement marks her sixth event title within just four competitions since starting her collegiate gymnastics career.

The Illinois team is scheduled to host two meets at Huff Hall this weekend. They will compete against Ohio State on Friday evening and face Missouri on Sunday afternoon.

The Big Ten Weekly Awards announced on February 4, 2025, also included Nikki Smith from Michigan State and Jordan Chiles from UCLA as Co-Gymnasts of the Week and Sage Kellerman from Michigan State as Specialist of the Week.
