Three former Fighting Illini golfers are competing in various professional tours this week, marking Week 5 of the 2025 golf calendar.
Thomas Detry is set to participate in his fourth event of the season at the PGA TOUR's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California. Detry will team up with Nikesh Arora, chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks. They will play alongside Cam Davis and Ping Duan during the first round at Pebble Beach on Thursday, followed by a round at Spyglass Hill. Detry has successfully made three consecutive cuts this year, including a T5 finish at The Sentry and a T15 last week at the Farmers Insurance Open. He currently holds the No. 57 spot in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Adrien Dumont de Chassart will make his second consecutive appearance on the DP World Tour at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship held at Royal Golf Course. In his previous tournament, Dumont de Chassart began with a score of 69 but failed to make the cut after posting a 76 in Round 2.
Luke Guthrie continues his run on the Korn Ferry Tour for a third straight week as he competes in The Panama Championship in Panama City, Panama. Guthrie started his year with a T76 finish at The Bahamas Golf Classic and recently achieved an impressive tie for fifth place at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic.
