The Illinois dive team competed in the one-meter dive event against Northern Arizona and Rice on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Three sophomore divers from Illinois achieved NCAA Zone Cuts during the competition.
Dani O'Kelly secured first place with a score of 285.35. Matilda Garcia followed closely, earning second place with a score of 277.05, while Bethany Mercer took third place with a score of 275.20.
The full results for the one-meter dive are as follows: Dani O'Kelly (285.35), Matilda Garcia (277.05), Bethany Mercer (275.20), Elleka Boeres (258.10), Elle Crisostomo (253.10), Carlie Rose (249.50), and Catalina Devia (206.00).
Looking ahead, the dive team will join forces with the swim team for their Big Ten home opener against Purdue on Saturday, January 11 at 3 p.m. CT.
