Ford County Board Finance Committee met Dec. 5

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Finance Committee met on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 9:00 A.M. in the Small Courtroom in the Courthouse. Roll Call showed the following in attendance: Mrs. Mussman, Mr. Ferguson, Mr. Niewold, and Mr. C. Vaughn. Also in attendance were Circuit Clerk Schwarz, Sheriff Johnson, Treasurer Whitcomb, EMA Deputy Neal, and Clerk & Recorder Frederick.

Mr. Niewold made a motion to revise the agenda by removing Discussion/Possible Action on 2 Mutal Aid Agreements one with First Student of Paxton and one with Tri-Point Schools under New Business and then to approve the Agenda. Mr. C. Vaughn seconded it. Voice Vote – Carried

After the committee reviewed the submitted Finance claims, Mr. Ferguson made the motion to pass all submitted Finance claims to the full board for approval. Mr. C. Vaughn seconded it.

Roll Call – Ayes – 3, Abstain - 1

(Abstain - Niewold)

Mr. Ferguson made a motion to pass onto the full board for consideration 2 Resolutions to Re-Appt.

M. Froelich to Pella Twp No. 2 Drng. Dist. and L. Stroh to Sibley Drng. Dist. Mr. Niewold seconded it.

Voice Vote – Carried

Mr. Ferguson made a motion to pass onto the full board for consideration the FY 2025 Ford County Levy.

Mr. C. Vaughn seconded it. Roll Call – Unanimous

Mr. C. Vaughn made a motion to pass onto the full board for consideration a Resolution Amending Res 24 – 76 Setting County Board Meetings for FY 2025. Mr. Ferguson seconded it. After discussion, Mr. Niewold made a motion to amend the day to meet starting with January 2025 to Monday and the time to meet to 5:30 P.M. Mr. C. Vaughn seconded it.

Voice Vote – Carried

Mr. C. Vaugh then revised his motion to include the new amendments and pass the Resolution Setting County Board Minutes for FY 2025 onto the full board for consideration. Mr. Ferguson seconded it.

Voice Vote – Carried

For Safety, Sheriff Johnson updated the committee on the camera project.

Mr. Ferguson moved to adjourn; Mr. C. Vaughn seconded it. Voice Vote – Carried
