Village of Pesotum Board of Trustees met Nov. 20

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call to Order

Village President, Joyce Ragle, called the Village Board of Trustees Study Session Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  

2. Pledge of Allegiance and Roll Call

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and roll call taken. 

Present were Village President, Joyce Ragle, Village Trustees, Dee Ann Hoffman, Jennifer Gumbel-Paeth, and Janice Thomas; Village Trustee and ESDA Coordinator, Robert Russian, Village Maintenance, Rob Wood, Village Clerk, Christine Conner, and Village Treasurer, Melanie Schultz. 

Absent were Village Trustees, Nathan Nierenhausen, and Village Building Inspector, Lyle Reed.

3. Presentations/Comments from the General Public – None 

4. Old Business 

Unity High School will perform first at the Holiday Party/Tree Lighting ceremony on Sunday, December 8, 2024. 

The Caucuses will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There are four (4) Village Trustee seats and the Village President position open. Janice Thomas will be running to keep her seat on the Village Board of Trustees. 

5. New Business

The Village Newsletter has been approved to go to the printer and be taken to the Post Office for distribution. 

6. Presentations/Comments from the Board of Trustees

Santa Claus will be at the Pesotum Fire Department Firehouse on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Village Board of Trustees will approve a donation for treats for the children at the next regular Village Board of Trustees meeting. 

Rob Wood reported he is looking to purchase a larger chain saw to make it easier to clear fallen trees. The cost is approximately $729.99.

Elizabeth Megli will bring cookies to the next Village Board of Trustees Regular meeting on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Motion by Jennifer Gumbel-Paeth, seconded by Dee Ann Hoffman, to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:08 p.m.
