ARC Pool | University of Illinois Fighting Illini
The Illinois distance swimming team participated in the CSCAA Open Water Nationals at Florida International University on December 15, 2024. The team consisted of three swimmers: senior Paloma Canos Cervera, junior Adelaide Reaser, and sophomore Liv Dorshorst. They collectively secured the 10th position among 19 teams in the 5k event.
Paloma Canos Cervera led her team with a time of 1:09:03.89, finishing in 24th place. Liv Dorshorst followed, securing the 39th position with a time of 1:09:51.31. Adelaide Reaser completed the race in 53rd place with a time of 1:11:10.08.
The team will resume activities after the new year, starting with a diving competition against Northern Arizona and Rice in Flagstaff, Arizona on January 7. They are scheduled to host a home dual meet against Purdue on January 11.
