The Fighting Illini volleyball team has secured a spot in the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Tournament. This marks the first time since 2021 that Illinois will participate in the tournament. The team is set to compete against Northern Iowa in their opening match, scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. CT in Louisville, Kentucky. The winner of this match will advance to face either Louisville or Chicago State.

Illinois concluded its regular season with an overall record of 18-12 and a Big Ten conference record of 10-10. The team is led by Raina Terry, who holds the program's all-time records for kills (2,120), aces (219), and points (2,502.0). Terry is notable as the only active Big Ten player with over 2,000 career kills and more than 200 career aces.

This year's tournament appearance marks the 28th overall for the Fighting Illini and the fifth under head coach Chris Tamas.
