Head coach Nadalie Walsh has announced the appointment of Molly Stuckey as Assistant Coach, Operations for the University of Illinois women's gymnastics team. Stuckey brings a diverse background to the position, with experience in coaching, judging, civil engineering, and development.
"It has been an extreme pleasure to add Molly to my staff as another assistant coach and assistant director of operations," stated head coach Nadalie Walsh. "Molly has an incredible judging background where her knowledge and expertise have impacted the student-athletes in a very positive way. Molly's character and personality are a wonderful fit to the vision and philosophy of the program."
Stuckey has been a judging official for the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges since 2016, covering NCAA and USA Gymnastics Women's Development Program competitions. She maintains a deep understanding of the sport's technical aspects through continuous personal development and stays informed about rule and policy updates. Additionally, she is developing an application for gymnastics coaches and officials to calculate an athlete's maximum scoring potential.
Her experiences extend beyond judging; she has provided on-site support for gymnastics invitationals with over 1,500 competitors, coached at various clubs across the country including International Gymnastics Camp, Aerial Athletics, and Mavericks Gymnastics, and volunteered globally.
Originally from Junction City, Kansas, Stuckey holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. She recently earned a certificate in sports management essentials and gameday operations from The Sports Executive Path.
