No. 25 Illinois secured a decisive victory over Maryland Eastern Shore with an 87-40 win at the State Farm Center. The Illini's strong performance was led by Will Riley, who scored 19 points and made significant contributions in rebounds, assists, and blocks. Morez Johnson Jr. achieved his first collegiate double-double with career-high figures in both points and rebounds.

Kasparas Jakucionis added to the team's efforts with nine points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Kylan Boswell contributed 13 points along with additional support from Tre White and Tomislav Ivisic.

The game began with Illinois taking a commanding lead through a series of scoring runs that left UMES struggling to keep pace. The Illini defense played a crucial role, maintaining pressure on the Hawks throughout the match.

Illinois maintained its undefeated home record this season and will face Little Rock next at State Farm Center on Monday evening.
