The Illinois Fighting Illini, ranked 24th, will travel to face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a Big Ten conference game on Saturday. The game is scheduled for an 11 a.m. CT kickoff at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Illinois comes into the matchup with a 7-3 overall record and a 4-3 mark in conference play after securing a decisive 38-16 victory over Michigan State. In that game, Josh McCray achieved three rushing touchdowns, while Pat Bryant recorded 135 receiving yards on four receptions.

Rutgers, holding a 6-4 overall record and 3-4 in the Big Ten, recently secured bowl eligibility with a 31-17 win over Maryland. The Scarlet Knights have been successful at home this season with a 4-2 record.

Historically, Illinois leads the series against Rutgers with five wins to three losses and has won all three previous matchups held at SHI Stadium since Rutgers joined the Big Ten. The last meeting between these teams resulted in a win for Rutgers in Champaign during Bret Bielema's first season as head coach of Illinois.

The game will be broadcast on Peacock, NBC's streaming service. Fans interested in watching can subscribe to Peacock starting at $7.99 per month.
