Illinois head coach Mike Small has announced the signing of Dujuan Snyman to the Fighting Illini men's golf program. Snyman, who hails from Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, will join the team as a freshman for the 2025-26 season.

Snyman is recognized as one of Australia's top golf prospects. Originally from South Africa, he has consistently performed well in the Australian Boys' Order of Merit over the past four years. He achieved third place in 2021, second in 2022, and fourth in both 2023 and 2024. Throughout this period, Snyman participated in 37 events and secured 30 top-10 finishes, including four championships at prestigious tournaments such as the 2022 Queensland Junior and the 2023 Northern Territory Classic Championship.

In addition to his achievements on home soil, Snyman won Junior 6's Tour events at Sanctuary Lakes and Newcastle in both stroke play and match play formats. His accomplishments also include winning the Northern Territory Amateur Championship and being named the Gold Coast District Golf Association (GCDGA) Junior Player of the Year in 2022.

Expressing his enthusiasm for joining Illinois, Snyman stated: "The rich history, culture, and achievements were part of my considerations; however, the No. 1 consideration for me, by far, is the honor and opportunity to be coached and play for Coach Small. With Coach Sondjaja assisting it's the perfect coaching combination and fit for me to turn my dreams into reality."

Coach Mike Small expressed his excitement about adding Snyman to their roster: "We are very excited to welcome Dujuan into our program in 2025. He is a dynamic young player who possesses solid fundamentals combined with tremendous clubhead speed and clubface control. His natural ability and athleticism will bode well for playing the type of schedule and golf courses that we play, and his enthusiasm for the game and his desire to compete will complement our team perfectly."
