The Illinois swim and dive teams concluded their seasons with notable performances at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Florida, and the NCAA Diving Zones in Louisville, Kentucky.
Junior Sydney Stoll set a new school record in the 100 IM twice during the competition. She achieved a time of 55.21 seconds in the A finals, surpassing her own morning prelim record of 55.41 seconds. Stoll led her team in individual scoring with a total of 50 points.
Freshman Kylee Sessions also delivered an impressive performance by swimming the program's third-fastest time in the 100 IM prelims at 57.57 seconds, finishing 19th in the B finals with a time of 57.64 seconds. Fellow freshman Martina Cibulkova placed eighth on the program's all-time list for her 59.02-second time trial in the same event.
Sophomore Adelaide Reaser recorded two top-10 program times in the mile race, including a third-place ranking for her 1650 freestyle finish at 16:43.10 and seventh place for her split at the 1000 mark (10:06.51). Junior Paloma Canos Cervera also made her mark with fifth and tenth-place times for her performances in these events.
In other results from Ocala, sophomore Sara Jass secured sixth place in the 200 breaststroke A finals with a time of 2:13.87, shaving off over half a second from her prelims performance.
The relay team consisting of Stoll, senior Laurel Bludgen, junior Logan Kuehne, and Sessions finished their season with a respectable fourteenth place in the 400 freestyle relay clocking in at 3:23.21.
At Louisville's diving zones, freshman Bethany Mercer represented Illinois on platform dive securing a score of 192.95 to finish twenty-fourth overall.
