The Illinois dive team concluded its participation in the Auburn Diving Invite on Tuesday, December 19, at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center in Auburn, Alabama. The event marked the final day of competition for the women divers.
Freshman Elle Crisostomo led her team with an eighth-place finish in the finals, scoring 207.05 points after qualifying with a score of 184.95 in the preliminary round. Fellow freshman Bethany Mercer followed closely behind in ninth place, finishing with a score of 205.40 and qualifying for the finals with a preliminary score of 208.05.
Next on their schedule, the Illinois swim and dive team will face off against Iowa at home on Friday, January 12, at the ARC Pool starting at 11 a.m. CT.
