The Illinois swim and dive team is preparing for the Boilermaker Invite, scheduled to take place in West Lafayette, Indiana, from November 16 to 18. The event will be held at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center with preliminaries starting at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m. Central Time. In addition to Illinois, other teams participating include Illinois State, Marshall, McKendree, Missouri State, Northwestern, Purdue, and Southern Illinois.

Last year, the Illini secured third place at their midseason tournament (Hawkeye Invitational), achieving 19 top-10 program marks and setting one school record.

Sophomore Sara Jass is leading the Fighting Illini with impressive performances in their last dual against Vanderbilt on November 4. She set two new ARC pool records in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.12) and the 400 IM (4:15.46). Junior Sydney Stoll also set an ARC pool record in the 200 freestyle (1:48.99).

Stoll was part of a new pool record for the 200 medley relay team alongside freshman Kylee Sessions, junior Logan Kuehne, and senior Lily Olson with a time of 1:42.21. Additionally, the 200 freestyle relay team consisting of senior Laurel Bludgen, Olson, Kuehne, and junior Molly Yetter achieved another pool record with a time of 1:33.00.

Sophomore Adelaide Reaser made her debut in the school record book on November 4 by recording the program's tenth-fastest time in the 1000 freestyle (10:10.14).
