Junior swimmer Sydney Stoll set a new school record in the 100-yard individual medley at the Louisville Invitational, recording a time of 55.68 seconds. Stoll came close to achieving a personal best in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.27 seconds, narrowly missing her own school-record mark by just 0.03 seconds.
Freshman Kylee Sessions also made an impact by securing the third spot on the program's all-time list for the 100 IM with a time of 57.81 seconds. Additionally, she posted a near top-10 performance in the 100 breaststroke, clocking in at 1:03.89.
Another freshman, Gwen Bakker, swam the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.02 and achieved a notable split time of 29.14 seconds at the halfway point, ranking third in Illinois history for that segment.
The Illinois swim and dive team will compete next at the Big Ten Championships in West Lafayette, Indiana from February 21 to February 24.
