The Illinois dive team participated in the first day of the Auburn Diving Invite on Saturday, December 17, at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center in Auburn, Alabama. The initial day featured competition in the one-meter dive event, with subsequent days dedicated to the three-meter and platform dives.
Senior diver Brooke Michael achieved an eighth-place finish with a score of 241.55, leading her team in the event. Her twin sister, Taylor Michael, followed closely behind with a ninth-place finish and a score of 233.55.
Freshmen Elleka Boeres and Bethany Mercer also qualified for the one-meter finals. Boeres secured 11th place with a score of 230.90, while Mercer finished in 12th place scoring 222.55 points.
Other participants included freshmen Matilda Garcia and Elle Crisostomo who placed 13th and 15th respectively but did not advance to the finals. Garcia scored 215.55 points, while Crisostomo ended with a score of 179.15.
The results from the finals and preliminaries are as follows:

The Illinois dive team will continue their participation in the invite on Sunday, beginning with the three-meter dive scheduled for an early start at 11 a.m.
