The Illinois swim and dive team is set to face Vanderbilt in their first home dual meet of the season. The event will take place at the ARC Pool on Saturday, November 4, at 11 a.m. CT. Sophomore Sara Jass recently made her mark by securing a top-10 program position against Pepperdine, placing third on the 100 IM leaderboard with a time of 58.33.

Currently, Illinois holds a dual record of one win and two losses. Their victory came against Pepperdine with a score of 164-75, while they experienced defeats against Kansas (131-169) and UCLA (73.5-167.5).

Vanderbilt enters the competition with a dual record of one win and one loss. They began their season on September 29 with a home defeat to Florida (75-180) but secured their first victory against Iowa (138-124). Last season, Vanderbilt had an overall record of 5-4-1 and went winless in SEC matches.

The upcoming meet will also serve as Illinois' Pink Meet to raise breast cancer awareness. A "Chuck-A-Duck" fundraiser will be held for the UIUC Cancer Center, offering fans the chance to win tickets to the Dad's Day football game versus Indiana on November 11. Ducks are available for purchase at $5 each or three for $10, with all donations accepted in cash only. Complimentary pink donuts and coffee will be provided to attendees.
