The Fighting Illini swim team marked a successful start to their home schedule with a 156-106 victory over Vanderbilt at the ARC Pool in Champaign, Illinois. The meet on November 4 saw the Illini set five new pool records and secure nine event titles.

Head coach Jeana Kempe expressed her satisfaction with the team's performance, stating, "I am really proud of this team performance today. They knew it was going to take our best performance to win this meet and that is what we got."

The Illini's 200 medley relay team, consisting of Sydney Stoll, Kylee Sessions, Logan Kuehne, and Lily Olson, began the meet by setting a new pool record with a time of 1:42.21. Sophomore Sara Jass also made notable contributions by setting two new pool records in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.12) and the 400 IM (4:15.46). Stoll further impressed with a pool record in the 200 freestyle (1:48.99).
