The Illinois football game against Nebraska, initially set for Saturday, September 21, will now take place on Friday, September 20. This change comes as part of the FOX College Football Friday package. The match will begin at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on FOX.

FOX College Football Friday is a new initiative that features prime-time college football games on Fridays throughout the fall season. The Illinois vs. Nebraska game will be the first of nine Big Ten games aired over a ten-week period.

Illinois fans can purchase season tickets starting at $100 to celebrate Memorial Stadium's 100th anniversary and ensure affordability for all attendees.

The full schedule for the Illinois football team in 2024 includes several home games at Memorial Stadium and key away matches against teams like Penn State and Oregon. The season concludes with the Big Ten Championship in Indianapolis on December 7.
