The Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the launch of FamILLy Weekend, a new event to be held during the 2024 football season. The first FamILLy Weekend will coincide with the Fighting Illini's game against Kansas on Saturday, September 7 at Memorial Stadium.

This event is part of a series of family-focused promotions planned for the fall. On September 14, the Illini Moms will host the Moms Huddle Up when Illinois plays Central Michigan. The annual Dads Day is scheduled for November 2 against Minnesota.

An exclusive tailgate organized by Illinois' New Student & Family Experiences will take place in Grange Grove at 3:30 p.m., before the game against Kansas. Families interested in participating can fill out an interest form.

Illinois invites all members of its community, from alumni to new students and local residents, to join in the FamILLy Weekend festivities. Fighting Illini Account Managers are available to discuss tickets, tailgating, parking, and other details related to FamILLy Weekend.

The University of Illinois New Student & Family Experiences aims to help students and their families begin their journey at Illinois by connecting them with people, resources, and opportunities available at the university.

FamILLy First Fan Appreciation is part of Illinois Athletics' commitment to enhancing gameday experiences for supporters. This initiative emphasizes gratitude towards fans who contribute to the success of Illinois teams across various sports.
