Senior athlete Aiden Ouimet participated in the first half of the decathlon at the 64th annual Mt. SAC Relays on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The event took place in Walnut, California. Ouimet finished the day in 10th place with a total of 4,044 points.
Ouimet achieved personal bests in two track events. He placed ninth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.84 seconds and twelfth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.88 seconds.
In field events, Ouimet secured eleventh place both in the long jump, recording a distance of 7.15 meters (23-5½), and in the high jump with a height of 1.89 meters (6-2¼). He also finished thirteenth in the shot put with a throw measuring 14.06 meters (46-1½).
The decathlon will continue on Thursday, April 18, starting at noon CT.
The full track and field team will join for day two of the Mt. SAC Relays, which features field events beginning at 7 p.m. CT and track events commencing at 8:55 p.m. CT.
