Illinois offensive lineman Melvin Priestly is set to throw the first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinals' Illini Night on June 12. The game against the Pittsburgh Pirates will take place at Busch Stadium, with ticket packages currently available for the 6:45 p.m. CT start.
Before the game, Priestly, along with defensive lineman Alex Bray, linebacker Jojo Hayden, and offensive lineman Brandon Henderson, will sign autographs in the Budweiser Terrace starting around 5:30 p.m. CT. All four athletes are from the St. Louis area.
Fans purchasing a special Theme Ticket will receive an Illini-themed Cardinals tumbler, which is exclusive to this ticket offer.
In addition to this event, another Illini Night is scheduled at Wrigley Field on July 2 when the Cubs face off against the Phillies. A special ticket for this event includes a Cubs/Illini baseball cap and a portion of proceeds from each ticket sold will benefit the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Robert Archibald Student-Athlete Health and Wellness Fund.
