Illinois Athletics is set to introduce a new I FUND priority seating model for season tickets at Memorial Stadium and State Farm Center starting in the 2025-26 seasons. This initiative aims to provide a more transparent and customizable approach for purchasing football and men's basketball season tickets.
According to Illinois Athletics, "I FUND members will see increased transparency on the front end when making decisions on parking, annual benefits, and season tickets." The model seeks to make ticket purchasing more convenient while maintaining or reducing costs for most fans. Specifically, 82% of fans who choose seats in similar locations will pay the same price or less in 2025.
The Illini ERA model also focuses on expanding access to season tickets, inviting new fans while allowing current ticket holders to customize their experience. The goal is to align Illinois with peer institutions by providing resources necessary for supporting student-athletes and enhancing fan experiences.
Over the past three years, Illinois has seen a growth of 38% in season ticket sales at Memorial Stadium and 20% at State Farm Center. This growth supports the decision to move forward with the Illini ERA priority seating model.
Fans can visit IlliniERA.com for detailed information about the new seating model. The website includes a pricing calculator and frequently asked questions section. Additionally, Illinois Athletics will offer virtual Town Halls for further discussion about Illini ERA integration. Current ticket holders and I FUND members will receive an Illini ERA guide by mail soon.
The updated model is designed to empower fans as part of the growing Big Ten Conference's competitive environment. As stated by Illinois Athletics, "The future of Fighting Illini Athletics begins with Illini ERA."
