The Illinois swim and dive team held its intrasquad meet on Saturday at the ARC Pool, with Team Orange emerging victorious over Team Blue by a score of 96-72.

The competition began with Team Blue's Carlie Rose, Matilda Garcia, and Elleka Boeres winning the 75-yard freestyle relay. However, Team Orange quickly responded by claiming victory in the 200 medley relay thanks to Sophia Paduano, Kayla Duran, Logan Kuehne, and Maggie Adler.

Team Orange continued their success with wins in three consecutive events: Liv Dorshorst took first place in the 400 freestyle, Elle Crisostomo won the three-meter dive, and Logan Kuehne triumphed in the 50 freestyle. Laurel Bludgen broke Team Orange's streak by securing a win for Team Blue in another round of the 50 freestyle.

In subsequent events, Team Orange dominated again by winning relays such as the 300 backstroke, 300 breaststroke, and 300 butterfly. Boeres achieved a one-meter dive win for Team Blue while Sara Jass secured a victory for Team Orange in the 200 freestyle. Adler wrapped up another win for Team Orange in the 300 freestyle. The final event saw Bludgen along with Molly Yetter, Isabella Wilhelm, and Marin McAndrew clinching victory for Team Blue in the 200 freestyle relay.

Looking ahead, the Fighting Illini will begin their season against Kansas at home on Thursday. Diving is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., followed by swimming at 5 p.m.
