For the second consecutive year, the Illini men's gymnastics team has been named the national academic team champion by the Collegiate Gymnastics Association (CGA), as announced on Sunday.

"These young men continue to show their elite commitment to every aspect of their lives," said head coach Daniel Ribeiro. "After finishing our season as regular-season co-Big Ten champions and earning a high bar national champion, I am so proud of this team for becoming back-to-back academic national champions. While they are dominating during their time here at the University of Illinois, they are also setting themselves up for incredibly bright futures!"

Illinois achieved a 3.72 team GPA, marking a 0.063 improvement from last year and securing a 0.12 lead over runner-up Stanford. Nineteen Illini athletes earned CGA Academic All-American honors, with seventeen named first-team honorees.
