Alaina Miller, a junior outfielder on the Illinois softball team, shared insights into the team's recent activities and preparations for the upcoming season. Miller, who is studying Interdisciplinary Health on the Pre-physical therapy track, highlighted the team's efforts in building camaraderie and pushing their limits.
"The team and I have been working hard this week learning more about each other and pushing our boundaries," Miller stated. With 13 newcomers, the emphasis has been on competition while maintaining team standards.
Miller expressed excitement about getting to know her teammates better, especially after completing their first full week of practice. "It is apparent that this team truly bleeds orange and blue through the constant energy and encouragement, while also striving to be better every day on and off the field," she noted.
The team is preparing for their fall season with a doubleheader scheduled for next Saturday. Miller encouraged supporters to come out and watch the games.
"I-L-L," she signed off.
