Illinois volleyball has announced its annual Fan Day, scheduled for August 10 at Huff Hall, preceding the FamILLy Movie Night at Memorial Stadium later that evening. The preseason event, taking place from 1-3 p.m., is free to the public and offers fans an early look at the 2024 squad.
"This will be the second year of a great event for all ages where you get to interact with the team, learn more about our wonderful sport, and much more," head coach Chris Tamas stated. "We will have kid-friendly food and several activities available as well as stations to interact with everyone involved with the Illinois volleyball team and supporters. We look forward to seeing everyone on August 10th!"
The event will feature food trucks, giveaways, and skill stations with Fighting Illini volleyball coaches and student-athletes. Fans will also have an opportunity to meet the team through player introductions at the conclusion of the Fan Day celebrations.
Metered street parking will be available for attendees. Additionally, parking at the State Farm Center will be an option.
The Orange and Blue begin their season on August 30 with a match against Cincinnati. The Fighting Illini's home opener is set for September 3 against Illinois State, with first serve from Huff Hall scheduled for 7 p.m.
