City of Urbana Human Relations Commission will meet June 11

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1. A public event, "Juneteenth Reflections and Reverence," is Friday, June 14th at 11:30 a.m. in this chamber. Doors open at 11 a.m. for an exhibit and tabling activities.

2. A public event, "Juneteenth Celebration in Urbana," is Sunday, June 16th from 1 - 3 p.m. at Crystal Lake Park, with the Urbana Park District partnering with the Urbana Free Library. There will be music, food, and a variety of recreational activities.

3. Commissioners, the "Juneteenth Celebration Lunch for Employees, Families, and Guests," is Tuesday, June 18th. Serving from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

4. The "26th Annual Martin Luther King Jettie Rhodes Day" is Saturday, June 22nd from 12 - 4 p.m. at Urbana King Park. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

5. This Commission has openings.

6. Next scheduled meeting: Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
